Prose Play is a sentence‑building word puzzle made from real public‑domain prose. You drag shuffled fragments back into the order their authors chose, matching your sense of logic and rhythm against theirs, and solve by feel: which opening, which turn, which landing actually works. Hints don’t define a missing word; they point to the movement of the thought instead.

Version 1.1 holds puzzles from three books: Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights, Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, and Homer's Iliad. Ten chapters each, ten sentences per chapter, three hundred in all — arranged from gentle on-ramps to genuine climbs. Before each puzzle you can read what the author wrote just before the sentence you're rebuilding. There are no streaks, no accounts, no hidden modes: one mechanic, drag-to-reorder, and a page of the author's own words waiting on the other side.

Every sentence is verified word for word against its public-domain source. None are re-written or generated — only chosen.
