## Description

Stay in your zone and train sustainably. Live heart rate, calm haptic and voice cues, and a full workout history. All private, all on your phone.

I built Hold because I kept training too hard.

Every easy run would slowly stop being easy. Someone would pass me, my watch would buzz, and I'd convince myself to push a little more. I'd finish wrecked, spend days recovering, and still call it consistency.

What fixed it was simple: knowing my heart rate while I ran, without anything else competing for attention. No streaks, no scores, no rings to close. Just the zone I was supposed to be in, and whether I was actually staying there.

Hold reads your live heart rate from any Bluetooth heart rate strap or your Apple Watch, and shows it in six zones: Calm, Recovery, Endurance, Tempo, Threshold, Max. When your zone changes and stabilizes, you get a gentle buzz and a spoken cue like "Endurance". Your phone can stay in your pocket the entire workout.

No Bluetooth strap required: your Apple Watch can be the sensor. Pair it once, pick Apple Watch as your source, and your live heart rate streams straight into Hold while the zone shows on your wrist too. When you finish, the workout is saved to Apple Health 1).

Calm is the quietest zone, sitting just above resting. It's there for the gentle stuff: yoga, breathwork, stretching, mobility, and cooldowns. So Hold isn't only for runs and rides, it's just as useful when the goal is to slow down and stay relaxed.

Zones are based on age, sex, and resting heart rate, but every threshold is editable. If you already know your numbers, you can enter them directly.

Hold logs your workouts on-device. You can review your full trace, time spent in each zone, and your average and max heart rate. No fitness score. No readiness rating. No achievements.

There's no account, no cloud, and no tracking. No subscription. No feed, no friends, no leaderboards, no AI coach.

Hold isn't a training plan or a racing coach. It's built for all parts of training: keeping easy days easy, hard sessions honest, and recovery weeks on track. It helps you avoid drifting outside the zone you intended. It helps you return from injury without overdoing it, or keep a short run truly easy when that's all the day calls for.

Train at the right intensity. The rest usually takes care of itself.

1. Apple Watch support has one limit: only one workout can read the watch's heart rate at a time, so you can't run Hold alongside another app using the watch in the same session. A Bluetooth strap still works if you'd rather keep another app open.
