## Description

NEAT FLOW - SHAFT CONTROL

You run the operations desk of a deep-shaft drilling rig. Every shift, a queue
of charges arrives from the foundry below. Each one carries a certificate. Each
certificate claims a rated depth and a telemetry status. Your job is to verify
the claim against your instruments - then make the call.

DEPLOY or ABORT. The paperwork rarely tells the whole truth.

THREE INSTRUMENTS, ONE DECISION

Seismic Sensor - tracks each charge live on the scope. Monitor descent rate,
bearing, and distance to detonation depth. Charges must slow as they approach
the bottom. An amber blip is already over the speed limit.

Core Scope - a magnifying loupe you drag over the casing to find the true depth
mark. When the instrument disagrees with the certificate, the certificate is wrong.

Pressure Control - keeps the shaft inside the safe band. Let it drift too far
and the console locks until you bring it back under control.

Select a charge, use your instruments, make the call. If depth, speed, and
telemetry all check out - deploy. If anything is off - abort. A missed violation
is a breach. Every call is recorded against your Standing.

EACH SHIFT GETS HARDER

Later shifts introduce more charge types, tighter depth tolerances, ash clouds
that degrade scope visibility, and heavier concurrent queues. The rule system
escalates along a concrete curve - not vague difficulty, but specific new
constraints added one shift at a time. Shift history lets you review your record
across every completed deployment.
