Most drone apps are a bolted-on extra inside a tuner, or a looped sample that drifts, clicks, or fades when the screen locks. Tuning Drone is built the other way round. The tone is synthesized live on your device from the exact frequency you chose — no loops, no seams, no drift — and it keeps sounding with the screen off or while you switch to sheet music in another app.
