## Description

Slates of Life is a private mobile app for sharing photos, notes, and small moments with the people closest to you, family, partners, and a handful of close friends. It's not a feed. There are no strangers, no algorithm, no public profiles.

You write together inside small private circles called slates. Each circle keeps its own shared journal of photos, voice notes, and locations, pages that close on a rhythm you choose, kept just for the people in that circle. 

inside the app:

— private circles, never public. each one carries its own designed glyph and warm-earth palette.
— a solo journal alongside, just for you. mood faces for the day. margin notes to come back to. a calendar that shows what each day felt like at a glance.
— sealed letters to your future self. write a note, record a voice clip, or film a video, lock it for a month or a year, find it again when the time comes.
— voice replies, threaded right under the moment they belong to.
— private nicknames for the people in your circles. "mom" stays "mom" only to you.
— live location sharing for the circles that want it, so the people closest to you can see where you are.
— one-time circles for trips and other moments with a clear end. when it's over, the circle seals into your archive, a shared memory held by everyone who lived it, in their own words and photos.

slates has no ads, no analytics, no tracking. every screen is visible only to the few people you chose. small circles run deep, the app gently pushes back when you try to add a sixth, because beyond five it gets hard to be present in any of them.
