## Description

Photograph a piece and get an appraisal in seconds: maker, period, marks, condition and authenticity, with three figures — fair market, auction estimate and insured.

What is it, and what is it worth?

Photograph an antique and Antique ID reads it the way a valuer does: the marks, the joinery, the wear, the material, the proportions. In seconds you get an identification, a condition and authenticity assessment, and three separate valuation figures.

THE THREE FIGURES
Most apps give you one number. The trade uses three, and they are not the same.
• Fair market value — what the piece would change hands for between a willing buyer and a willing seller. The headline figure.
• Auction estimate — the band a saleroom would print. Its width tracks how confident the reading is.
• Replacement value — what an equivalent would cost from a dealer. This is the figure an insurer asks for, and it is never lower than fair market value.

WHAT EACH APPRAISAL CONTAINS
• Maker or workshop, period, origin, style, material and dimensions
• Hallmarks and maker's marks, with what each one tells you
• Condition, graded, with the damage and restoration that drove the grade
• Authenticity, graded, with the reasoning shown — period original, later copy, revival, reproduction
• Rarity, and what actually makes a piece scarce
• Care notes specific to the object in front of you

EIGHTEEN CATEGORIES

YOUR COLLECTION
Every appraisal is saved with its photograph and stays on your device. The collection carries a running total, so an inherited houseful becomes an inventory instead of a question.

REPORTS YOU CAN SEND
Export any appraisal as a PDF or an image — for an insurer, a saleroom, a probate file or a buyer who wants more than your word for it.

LEARN AS YOU GO
Periods and styles from Georgian to mid-century, each with its makers, its typical pieces and the marks it left behind. A reference for the five marks on English silver. Eight topics on hallmarks, condition and restoration, rarity and provenance, fakes and revivals, and how to care for a piece without destroying its value.

HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT IS
An appraisal read from a photograph is an informed opinion, not a certificate. It is built to be right about what a thing is and close about what it is worth — enough to know whether a piece is worth insuring, selling, restoring or walking away from. For probate, litigation or a high-value sale, have the piece examined in person. The app will tell you when it is unsure, and a scan that identifies nothing does not cost you a credit.
