## Description

Phonic is a minimal dictation app for iPhone.

Add the Phonic keyboard once. Then in any text field — Messages, Notes, Mail, anywhere — tap the keyboard's mic button and speak. Phonic transcribes your voice and inserts the text right where your cursor is.

Three transcription options:
  • On-device — Whisper running entirely on your iPhone via Core ML. Nothing leaves your device. No API key. No internet.
  • Groq (default for cloud) — sub-second transcription quality with your own free Groq API key.
  • OpenAI — transcription through OpenAI's Whisper API with your own key.

That's it. No accounts, no cloud-stored transcripts, no advertising, no analytics. You bring your own API key when using the cloud options; your voice and text never touch any Phonic-controlled servers.

Phonic shows a level meter so you can see your voice register, a clear timer for armed sessions, and a basic editing keyboard so you can fix small mistakes without switching back to the system keyboard.
