StepForest is a step counter that stays out of your way: no account, no location tracking, and nothing to set up. Walk, and a small forest grows along with you.

STEP COUNTING
See today's steps, distance, calories, and goal progress the moment you open the app. StepForest reads the steps Apple Health already recorded, so your numbers match what your iPhone counted. When health data is unavailable, it falls back to your phone's own motion data and tells you so — never a silent guess.

YOUR GREEN SPACE
Every walk leaves a mark. Reach your daily goal to earn water drops, then water the tree in your Green Space. Keep going and a tree house, birds, a photo frame by the window, and other small things appear — a quiet place that fills up as you move. Day or night, sound on or off, it is yours.

TRENDS AND INSIGHTS
Start with today's hourly steps, then switch to week, month, or year. See your daily average and how this period compares with the last one. Your first insight report is free once you have enough history, and it stays free to revisit.

STREAKS AND BADGES
Consecutive goal days build a streak. Check your current and longest streak, look back at any day on the calendar, and collect badges along the way.

HOME SCREEN WIDGETS
Add a small widget for today's steps and the last update time, or a medium one for today's progress and the last 7 days. No need to open the app to see how today is going.

WEIGHT AND BMI
Log your weight and height and follow BMI next to your steps. Units follow your region — pounds and feet by default in the US, with WHO weight categories.

STEPFOREST PRO (OPTIONAL)
The core app is free and stays free. Pro adds what only shows up over time: comparison with the previous period, what is behind a change, monthly and yearly analysis, and the cat and fireflies in your Green Space. Choose monthly or yearly. Purchases and restores use your Apple ID.

PERMISSIONS AND PRIVACY
· Health: reading steps and walking/running distance needs your permission, and only to show steps and statistics
· Motion & Fitness: used when Apple Health data is not available, so your steps still count
· No location permission is ever requested
· StepForest never writes data to Apple Health
· No account required. Step cache, streaks, badges, and Green Space progress stay on your device
