prode now is a calm, minimal tool designed to help you document a law enforcement encounter the moment it begins.
tap your situation and recording starts instantly. the app uses your device’s camera and microphone to capture the interaction and automatically saves the video to your photo library. a bright flashlight turns on as a visible indicator that recording is active.
each encounter type includes two short, consistent prompts from detective fred to help you stay steady and respectful. a full screen message is provided so you can clearly inform the officer that the interaction is being recorded for mutual protection and ask the reason for the encounter.

videos are saved in a single portrait format with:
front camera view
rear camera view
date and time of the encounter
encounter type label
there is no in-app history. your footage is stored directly in your photo library so you always have access to it outside the app.
after an encounter, you can quickly choose to delete or keep the footage. if the situation was not positive, you can save the recording and choose to continue filming or search for local legal help.
