## Description

BirdNET-Go Companion is a native iOS client for your self-hosted BirdNET-Go server — the open-source, AI-powered bird sound identification system. Monitor your backyard's bird activity from anywhere, with a fast, focused interface built specifically for iPhone.

• Detections — Browse every detection with confidence scores, timestamps, and spectrograms.
• Species Explore — Search and browse all species detected on your server, with photo galleries and per-species detection history going back as far as you like (7 days to all-time).
• Live Audio — Stream live audio directly from your configured RTSP or sound-card sources, right from your phone.
• Real-time updates — New detections appear instantly via live server updates, no refreshing required.
• Multi-server support — Configure a primary and secondary server address with automatic failover.
• Secure connections — Supports Cloudflare Access Service Tokens for authenticated remote access to your server.

REQUIREMENTS

BirdNET-Go Companion requires an existing BirdNET-Go server (https://github.com/tphakala/birdnet-go) running on your network or reachable remotely. This app does not include bird detection itself — it's a companion viewer and remote for a server you already run.
