## Description

Mountain ID helps you identify mountains by pointing your iPhone at them. Names appear overlaid on the landscape through your camera, with distance and elevation when you focus on a peak.

• Point your phone at the mountains in the distance
• See labels anchored to peaks in augmented reality

BUILT FOR THE OUTDOORS
Mountain ID works best outside with a clear line of sight to peaks. GPS and compass quality improve away from large metal objects and buildings. For the most accurate labels, allow the app a moment to calibrate after you arrive at your viewpoint.
DATA
Mountain information comes from OpenStreetMap community data. Coverage and detail vary by region.
