本アプリは、ITクオリティ株式会社 代表・市原が開発しました。市原は東京電力で30年にわたり大規模システム開発に従事し、測位技術の体系書『測位学』（全2巻・815ページ）の著者です。

LiDAR（Light Detection And Ranging）は、レーザー光を使って距離を測定する光学測位技術。GPSが電波を使う「電波測位」であるのに対し、LiDARは光を使う「光学測位」です。このアプリで、スマートフォンに搭載された測位センサーの精度を体感してください。
