## Description

Tap notes on the fretboard, instantly see the chord and the theory behind it.

Ever known a chord shape but not what it's called, or why it sounds the way it does? FretFind works backwards from how you actually play: tap the notes you're playing, and it tells you the chord.

Built for self-taught guitarists, students, and songwriters who know their shapes but never learned the theory behind them.

HOW IT WORKS:
Tap any notes on the interactive fretboard. FretFind matches them against hundreds of chord types in real time, from simple triads to extended jazz chords, and ranks how well each one fits, so you always see the strongest match first.

LEARN THE THEORY, NOT JUST THE NAME:
Tap any result to open its full breakdown: the notes it's built from, its formula as intervals, which notes are essential versus optional, and plain-language explanations for every part, written for someone who's never studied music theory.

HEAR IT:
Tap a note to hear it played. Select a chord and hit strum to hear it the way you'd actually play it.

BUILD PROGRESSIONS:
Add chords you find to a progression, reorder them, save them with a name, and load them back later. Not sure what comes next? Chords That Fit suggests other chords from the same musical key, so you're never stuck.

OPTIONAL ACCOUNT:
Everything above works with no sign-up required. Create an account only if you want your saved progressions backed up and available on other devices.

FretFind is for anyone who wants to learn how to play, or can already play but wants to finally understand what they're playing. Built for education.
