## Description

Genu.ID is an authenticity scanner anyone can use. It catches the kinds of
QR spoofing that ordinary scanners simply miss — so you know in one scan
whether the product in front of you is the real thing.

Business partners — distributors and stores — can additionally log in to
record outlet locations and use operational tools.

■ What makes it different
A regular QR scanner just follows whatever URL is encoded in the code. That
means it can happily lead you to a counterfeit landing page that looks
identical to the real one, and you'd never know.

Genu.ID verifies that the QR code itself was issued by the legitimate brand,
checks for signs of cloning and reprinting, and looks at the scan history and
location pattern to flag anything suspicious. Spoofed landing pages don't get
through.

■ For everyone
- Consumers: Scan and verify without signing in. No account required.
- Distributors and store staff: Sign in to access issuance, sale, and
  store-level tracking features.

■ Core features
1. Stronger authenticity verification
Point your camera at the authenticity code. Results are shown in three
clear tiers — Normal, Caution, or Suspicious — easy to understand at a
   glance.

2. Counterfeit and clone detection
The app flags telltale signs of duplication, such as the same code being
scanned in impossible places or at impossible rates.

3. Item history
See when and where the product was registered and how it has been handled.

4. Optional location capture
If you allow location access, the verification coordinates are recorded
alongside the scan. Denying the permission is fine — the app still works.

5. Optional notifications
Suspicious results can be delivered as push notifications.

■ Permissions
- Camera: required for QR scanning. Video is never stored — decoded live only.
- Location: optional, only used to record where a verification happened.
- Notifications: optional, used for suspicious-result alerts.

■ Security and trust
- All traffic is encrypted end-to-end
- Consumers don't need an account — we collect as little as possible
- Distributor credentials are stored in the device's secure store
