HOW PROCESSING AFFECTS YOUR SCORE

Every product gets three scores that combine into one:

• Nutrition — calories, sugar, fat, fibre, protein
• Additives — 126 rated by risk level, any E number detected
• Processing — NOVA 1 (unprocessed) to NOVA 4 (ultra-processed)

Ultra-processed products (NOVA 4) get a 40% score reduction. Because a cereal bar with 30 ingredients shouldn't score the same as rolled oats with two.

WHY IS THIS ULTRA-PROCESSED?

Tap "Why this rating?" and Cull shows the ingredients that earned the verdict — the emulsifiers, the modified starches, the flavourings — in plain language, with the rules it applied. No mystery number.
