How it works

Clues on the Loose supports two play modes, depending on the venue:

Explore Mode

Explore Mode is designed for permanent or semi-permanent locations like museums and attractions.

Players move physically from one exhibit to the next, scan QR codes to unlock questions, read information, look around the space, and select the correct answer. Time is measured based on engagement, not speed, encouraging players to explore carefully rather than rush.

Event Mode

Event Mode is designed for live events and competitive environments.

Players are given questions and must physically move to the correct location to scan the matching QR code. Correct scans earn points and allow players to continue, while incorrect scans provide feedback. Faster completion times can lead to higher leaderboard rankings.
