## Review summary

Dokimon: Quest is visually stunning and nostalgically appealing, with a large, explorable world and features like Nuzlocke options. However, it suffers from stability and input issues across platforms, including frequent crashes, disappearing or unresponsive controls, and early progression blockers. These bugs undermine the positive retro RPG vibe and suggest strong potential once stability and UI are addressed. If fixed, it could satisfy retro-RPG fans seeking a paid, classic-inspired adventure.

### Pros

- Stunning retro pixel-art visuals and art direction with a soulful, nostalgic feel.
- Huge, explorable overworld with a wide variety of monsters and a classic RPG vibe.
- Nostalgic GBC-era homage and monster-tamer appeal that fans will appreciate.
- Built-in Nuzlocke options and other QoL features that add replayability.
- Clear one-time purchase model that avoids ongoing microtransactions.

### Cons

- Frequent crashes and freezes that block progression, including early-game issues.
- Controls and input frequently break: on-screen prompts disappear, battle controls are unresponsive, and issues span touch, keyboard/mouse, and external controllers.
- Early-game progression blockers due to bugs (e.g., being unable to exit areas or complete initial objectives).
- Paid game with persistent bugs that negatively affect perceived value and overall experience.
