NAS Guard – keep an eye on your TrueNAS, right from your iPhone.

NAS Guard connects to your TrueNAS server over the encrypted WebSocket API (JSON-RPC) and shows your system's status and health clearly and in real time.

The NAS Guard Agent is a small container you install on your TrueNAS in one tap – just pick a pool and a port, no shell or compose editing. It keeps itself up to date automatically and adds:
- Real-time alerts: get notified about outages and important events even when the app can't reach your NAS directly – faster and more reliable than background polling.
- Live Activities (Control Pack): follow long-running jobs (scrub, resilver, replication, Cloud Sync, Rsync) live on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, updated in the background even when the app is closed.
- Full media streaming: play video of any size instantly with no download, and open containers Apple can't handle natively (MKV, AVI and more) via on-the-fly HLS remux – with hardware-accelerated transcoding on Intel/AMD GPUs when available.
- Runs entirely on your own NAS.

GOOD TO KNOW
