Hardness is a practical metal hardness conversion tool for mechanical engineers, material specialists, heat-treatment teams, inspectors, CNC workshops, and students. It converts common hardness scales including HRC, HV and HB, shows related reference values in one view, and provides steel tensile strength estimates for engineering reference.

Version 1.2 focuses on global engineering workflows: localized metadata and interface coverage, clearer reference-table explanations, history and favorites for repeated conversions, and range alerts for values outside common reference intervals. All calculations run locally so the tool remains usable in workshops, labs, and field environments without network access.

Values are engineering references based on published conversion tables where applicable. Hardness conversion is not a substitute for material certification or laboratory measurement.
