## Description

The word game where the AI might be lying to you.
Lying Ted is a real-time two-player word game with a twist: every clue the AI gives you depends on whether you outbid your opponent that round. 
Win the bid and Ted tells you the truth. Lose it and Ted tells you a very convincing lie.

GAME RULES

Place words from a shared 12-letter rack onto an 8×8 board. Your words are 
clear to you — but your opponent sees only numbered tiles. Decode theirs 
before they decode yours.

Each round has three phases:

WORD — Place a word. Letters can go horizontal, vertical, or diagonal, and 
can intersect words already on the board in any direction.

BID — Submit a secret bid against your opponent. Higher bidder gets a true 
clue from Ted about one of the opponent's hidden words. Lower bidder gets a 
lie. Neither of you finds out who bid what until the game is over.

DECODE — Use Ted's clues (and your doubt about them) to guess your opponent's 
words. Correct guesses cascade: crack one word and every shared letter 
across the whole board flips revealed.

THE CATCH

Ted's clues are saved and live on the board the whole game. Every hint you 
ever received — true or false — is one tap away. Your job is to figure out 
which is which.

THE STAKES

Wrong guesses cost money. Bids drain your budget. But every word you place 
earns it back. The winner takes their own balance plus the entire pot both 
players funded with their bids across all rounds.

Track your net worth. Climb the leaderboard. Rise from Peasant to Oligarch.
