## Description

The Rodent Log is a professional citizen science platform that enables a wide range of users—including pest control operators, public health professionals, municipal authorities, and property managers, owners—to contribute data on rodent sightings, captures, and control efforts. The most essential part of the data is submission of a photograph of captured or dead rats and the associated metadata. Its core purpose is to establish a shared data commons, allowing researchers to improve our understanding of wild rodent populations and the pathogens they may carry. The app supports business owners in optimizing and assessing pest management strategies, including evaluating the effectiveness of various control methods including alternatives to rodenticides.
