Take your turn, go make a cup of tea, and let them sweat their answer whenever they open the app. It counts just the same, no calendar invite required.

FOUR WAYS TO PLAY
Anytime: Play your round now, they answer whenever they get five minutes.
Versus: Both online together, racing across the exact same board.
Turns: One shared board, passing moves back and forth.

ACTUAL RATINGS (FOR THE NERDS)
Competitive matches run on Glicko-2, the rating system competitive chess uses. It figures out skill levels accurately, adjusts quickly, and doesn't freak out if you take a break for three weeks. Co-op games stay unrated on purpose, because a team solve shouldn't come with performance anxiety.
