## Description

Your complete Buddhist practice companion: sutras, Om Mani Padme Hum chanting, meditation guides, and daily wisdom. Start your spiritual journey!

Read the suttas, chant, and sit — one quiet place for daily practice, with no feed and no account.

Buddhism is a reading room and a practice companion built around the Pali Canon. The library, the calendar and everything you save live on this iPhone. The chanting archive streams, and any chant can be kept on the device for when there is no signal.

— KEY FEATURES —

• Sutta library, offline and searchable: more than 1,250 texts from the Pali Canon — the Digha, Majjhima, Samyutta and Anguttara Nikayas, the Dhammapada, Udana, Itivuttaka, Sutta Nipata, Khuddakapatha, Theragatha and Therigatha. Search the full text, filter by collection or by reading length, and pick up where you stopped. Every text shows its translator, its copyright line and its canonical citation.

• Chanting and Dharma audio: Pali devotional chanting in Thai and Burmese styles, Chinese Pure Land liturgy, Chinese devotional hymns, Sino-Vietnamese and Nichiren chanting, Om Mani Padme Hum, the Chant of Metta, and recorded insight-meditation instruction. Playback speed, sleep timer, repeat and a queue. Download any track and it plays with no network at all.

• Bookmarks, highlights and notes: keep a discourse, mark the lines you return to, and write a private note beside it. Saved suttas, saved chants and saved observances each have their own shelf.

• A daily passage: one text a day from the bundled library, the same text all day, waiting on the home screen.

• Sitting timer: five to forty-five minutes, optional interval marks every two, five or ten minutes, and a vibration or silence at the end. Finished sittings are written to a log, and the Practice rhythm screen counts the week's minutes, practised days and rest days from that log. Nothing is estimated.

• Observance calendar: a month grid with the moon phase drawn on every day, and twelve East Asian Mahayana observances — the Buddha's Birthday, Renunciation, Enlightenment and Parinirvana, the Guanyin, Manjushri, Samantabhadra, Maitreya and Amitabha days, and Ullambana — worked out at runtime from the Chinese lunisolar calendar. The app names the tradition those dates follow, because Theravada and Tibetan observances use different reckonings and often fall on other days.

• One hundred daily reflections: a line of Buddhist wisdom for each day of the year, drawn from a fixed set of one hundred.

• Nothing to sign up for: no account, no server, no public profile, no feed and no advertising. Your name, notes, bookmarks and reading progress stay on this device.

— WHERE THE TEXT AND AUDIO COME FROM —

Suttas are reproduced from the Access to Insight edition of the Pali Canon, provided for free distribution and study; each text names its translator and copyright holder inside the app, and rights remain with those translators. Chanting and Dharma audio streams from BuddhaNet, the Buddha Dharma Education Association archive, also free-distribution material. Article cards come from the public Buddha Weekly feed.

— PERFECT FOR —

• Daily practice: a morning reflection, a ten-minute sitting, an evening reading.
• Deep study: the whole Pali Canon library, searchable, with translator and citation on every page.
• Sacred days: the East Asian Mahayana observance calendar, with the moon phase for every date.
• Quiet: no social layer, no streaks to lose, nothing waiting to be answered.
