Decibels is a sound level meter that remembers what you measured.

Point it at the noise, press start, press stop — and the reading stays. Average (Leq), maximum, minimum, duration and the full level trace, saved automatically, every time. No account, no subscription, and nothing leaves your phone unless you send it.

Decibels stores your measurements on your device and nowhere else. It records no audio — only the level — and asks for no location, no account and no identifiers.

A note on accuracy: a phone microphone is not a calibrated instrument. Decibels is honest about that. Use the calibration offset against a reference meter for absolute readings, and treat it as an excellent relative instrument otherwise.
