## Description

MapTrace is a powerful planning and analysis tool for hikers, landscapers, surveyors, photographers or any one who loves maps and interested in studying the terrain. Using Google maps default or satellite view user is able to unlock detailed terrain insights by determining the coordinates’ elevation, distance, gradient, and bearing. It instantly shows elevation and grade profile and area of any arbitrary traced path with a finger assisted by virtual pen.

**Key Capabilities:**

**Elevation & Grade Profiles** - Using a finger assisted by virtual pen user is able to trace out any path by dragging or tapping the virtual pen with one’s finger. Instantly generate detailed elevation and grade profiles showing all the path’s statistics. 

 **Area Calculation** - Measure land areas of any defined space traced out on the map. 

 **Bearing & Distance Analysis** - Get accurate bearings (true and magnetic) and distances from any selected point, essential for navigation,  route planning or special photography. 

 **Interactive Charts and Maps** - Zoom In / Out, Undo / Redo, Pan, snap scale, pan to north or current location:  All this while tracing the path
