Floss Finder turns any embroidery floss number into its match in another brand. Look up a DMC colour and see the Anchor, Madeira, Cosmo and J&P Coats equivalents instantly, with a swatch of each so you can judge how close the match really is.

It works the other way too. Start from an Anchor or Madeira number and find the DMC colour it converts to.

BROWSE BY COLOUR
Every thread is a colour tile, not a line of text. Scroll the whole DMC range as a grid, or narrow it to a single colour family such as reds, blues or browns. Search by number or by name.

FIVE BRANDS
DMC (489 colours, including the 35 newest), Anchor (445), Madeira (370), plus Cosmo and J&P Coats conversion numbers. Conversions are each manufacturer's published closest match, shown honestly: where a brand publishes no swatch, we say so rather than guess.

MADE FOR THE CRAFT ROOM
Tap a colour for a full-size swatch, its hex value to copy into pattern software, and every equivalent listed together. Filter to only the colours that have a conversion when you're substituting for a pattern.
