## Description

• Course — a 24-chapter story that follows Ah Yan through a year in Hong Kong: her housing estate and her grandmother's flat in Wong Tai Sin, the MTR exits and the minibus, a parcel that went to the wrong door, the clinic, the flower markets at Lunar New Year, a wedding banquet, and a hotpot night at home in winter. Every chapter has a dialogue with sentence-by-sentence English, grammar notes, vocabulary and a quiz, in the written Cantonese Hong Kong actually uses.
• Stories — classic bilingual tales told in Cantonese with jyutping, tap-to-translate and audio, read side by side with the English.
• Flashcards — spaced-repetition decks of everyday Cantonese words and grammar patterns.
• Dictionary — search in Chinese or English, with jyutping and audio.

Language Basics guides cover jyutping, the six tones and the sentence-final particles that carry so much of spoken Cantonese.
