• You choose how much. Four levels, from off to everything. Turning off a life-safety group asks you to confirm first — notification volume is the reason people turn alerts off, so it is a setting you control rather than a surprise.
• Read without an account. No account, no email address, no phone number to read what is happening near you and get notified on this device. Sign in when you want to choose your own topics and levels, or add email.
• A link anyone can open. Send an item by text or into a group chat, and whoever gets it can read it on the web, in their language, with nothing to install.

PHapp is not a government app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government agency. Items are compiled from what public agencies publish, including the National Weather Service (weather.gov), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (cdc.gov), the Food and Drug Administration (fda.gov), the Department of Agriculture (usda.gov), and state, county and city agencies.

IMPORTANT
PHapp is not an emergency service. It does not replace 911, Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA), IPAWS or EAS, and delivery is not guaranteed. In an emergency, call 911.
