## Description

The Room shows you what's actually happening tonight — which bars are
busy, who's checked in, where your friends are headed, and what's
worth walking to. Real signal, not stale reviews.
A LIVE MAP OF YOUR CITY
Curated bars, restaurants, cafes, clubs, and gyms — each with a live
crowd count, today's happy hour, and a one-line vibe so you know
exactly what you're walking into. Tap "Update count" when you arrive
and the whole city sees it for the next 3 hours. Like Waze, but for
going out.
ONE NEW CONNECTION A DAY
Each morning, The Room picks one person from your extended network —
someone you don't know yet but probably should. Mutual friends, shared
interests, real reasons to meet. No swiping. No matching with strangers.
Just one a day, every day.
ROOMIE
Your AI concierge for "where should we go." Ask out loud, get a

## Review summary

Overall, users like the concept and social utility of The Room - Social, especially for meeting people and helping newcomers. But repeated complaints about a sparse user base, onboarding friction, data deletion limits, clunky UI, and billing issues hinder adoption. Growth and smoother onboarding are needed for broader appeal.

- User-friendly design and a strong real-life social concept.
- Positive early traction and clear potential for growth; foundation is solid.
- Engaging features like checking in to rooms and discovering mutuals, making outings more fun.

### Cons

- Very limited or no user base; many reviews note nobody is on the app.
- Onboarding and sign-up issues, including verification failures and trouble creating an account (and upload profile photo).
- Inability to delete accounts or data, with some reporting feeling trapped in the app.
- UI/UX problems: not intuitive and clunky; sometimes bugs impede use.
- Billing concerns, such as an unexpected $20 charge after downloading.
