Test your recall by typing the romaji for each character as it appears. Get instant feedback with haptics and sound, and dive as deep as you want. Base characters, diacritical marks ( ゛゜), and contracted sounds (きゃ, しゅ, etc.) are all included.

Every quiz results screen shows you exactly which characters tripped you up, with a one-tap Review Missed button that jumps straight into a focused re-quiz. No digging through your history to figure out what to study next.

Hear It, Not Just See It
Tap any kana in the Learning Center, Trace, or Quiz tabs to hear it spoken aloud, in your choice of a male or female voice. Pronunciation should never be a guessing game.

Type Kana remembers how you're doing on every character and uses spaced repetition to bring back the ones you're still shaky on, right when you're about to forget them.

Reminders, On Your Terms
