## Description

**Notate PDF** is a secure mobile PDF workspace for regulated enterprise teams. Managed through BlackBerry UEM, MDM, or MAM platforms, it enables users to edit, annotate, redact, sign, organize, and collaborate on PDFs and Microsoft Office documents online or offline.

The app supports secure access to Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, SMB, and other corporate repositories. Teams can scan documents with OCR, create searchable PDFs, add threaded comments, use Apple Pencil for handwriting and drawing, and keep sensitive data contained within corporate security policies. Notate PDF is designed for organizations in finance, healthcare, government, insurance, and other compliance-focused industries. Backend configuration by an organization is required.

## Review summary

Notate PDF for BlackBerry is praised for solid notation/drawing capabilities and cloud syncing, plus Outlook Notes integration and helpful updates. However, it suffers from frequent crashes and instability, including launch issues after iOS updates. Apple Pencil support is inconsistent, with erratic highlighting and limited Pencil 2.0 features. Outlook integration is not consistently reliable. Overall, stable performance and better pencil integration are the main gaps, despite useful mobile and support strengths.

### Pros

- Notation and notetaking in both traditional text and drawing formats with cloud/server sync
- Syncs with Outlook Notes
- Regular updates and responsive customer support
- Mobile-friendly and useful for working away from a laptop

### Cons

- Frequent crashes and instability, often resulting in loss of annotations
- Compatibility issues with the latest iOS updates, including crashes on launch
- Apple Pencil/drawing issues (erratic highlighting, limited Pencil 2.0 features, and general stylus note-taking limitations)
- Outlook integration is weak and not a reliable companion for Outlook users
