Explore harmony wherever you practise. Intervals and Chords identifies possible chords from the notes you are holding and gives you immediate visual feedback on iPhone and iPad. Play the onscreen piano or connect a compatible MIDI controller to explore chords, intervals and musical notation wherever you are.

LEARN IN CONTEXT

Choose from 15 major keys, or use a keyless mode that prefers flats or sharps. Optional Roman-numeral scale degrees help connect each chord to the selected key. Valid chords outside that key are clearly identified without treating them as mistakes.

GO DEEPER WHEN YOU’RE READY

Advanced interpretation options can identify incomplete and rootless voicings or detect played scales. Beginner-friendly defaults keep complete chords and inversions at the top, so the most useful answers appear first.

MADE FOR IPHONE AND IPAD

Use the app as a portable music-theory companion at your instrument, in a lesson or while practising away from your desk. The interface adapts to iPhone and iPad, with support for accessible text and VoiceOver.
Intervals and Chords analyses the notes currently held. It does not analyse chord progressions or attempt to determine a chord’s musical function within a composition.
