## Description

AstroShader is a pioneering astrophotography extension that lets you capture, align, and stack stars live during image capture. No transfer to a computer is required—use a stand, tripod, telescope mount, or simply rest your phone on a rock.

It provides adjustable exposure, ISO, white balance, and manual focus, plus multi-exposure stacking and 16-bit TIFF export. After capture, edit tools include stretching, background extraction, histogram curves, sharpen layers, color tweaks, and multiple save formats (HEIF, PNG, JPEG, TIFF).

## Review summary

AstroShader is praised for producing striking astrophotography with an easy UI and real-time stacking previews, plus strong potential and beginner accessibility. However, it suffers from stability issues (crashes, black frames), unreliable stacking for untracked shots, camera limitations (ultra-wide not supported, limited manual controls), and triggering/save quirks that hinder reliability across devices.

### Pros

- Delivers stunning astrophotography results when it works.
- User-friendly UI with a real-time stacked-view preview.
- Rich feature set and potential for advanced processing on a phone.
- Accessible to beginners with quick, impressive results.

### Cons

- Frequent crashes and freezes across devices and updates.
- Some updates cause all-black frames or failure to capture images.
- Automatic stacking struggles with untracked shots and star misalignment.
- Limited camera support (ultra-wide mode not supported) and lack of manual controls (ISO, white balance).
- Remote triggering and save behavior can cause vibrations or unreliable captures.
