## Review summary

Mixcraft Remote is praised for enabling in-booth recording and saving time, with quick setup and generally reliable core functionality. However, frequent connectivity delays, missing track-level controls, compatibility with newer Mixcraft versions, and occasional bugs hinder its fuller use. Reviewers want more features, track visibility, and keyboard-like shortcuts to bring it closer to desktop control.

### Pros

- Useful and does what it’s designed to do, often delivering fast, straightforward remote control for recording.
- Saves time by keeping the user in the booth and reducing trips to the laptop.
- Links up quickly with Mixcraft and supports a smooth workflow for recording sessions.
- Generally reliable for solo artists and appreciated for enabling in-booth recording.
- Positive reception across reviews and seen as a valuable remote solution.

### Cons

- Slow or unreliable device discovery and IP connection, with reviews noting long scanning times and hangs during setup.
- Lacks essential mixer controls such as selecting specific tracks or adjusting track volumes, plus limited editing commands.
- Compatibility issues across Mixcraft versions; updates needed for newer releases (e.g., Mixcraft 8.1).
- Occasional bugs or performance hiccups, including recording not starting and stuttery playback.
- Requests for more features and visibility of tracks, shortcuts, and closer parity with desktop controls.
