## Description

Bullfrog Spas CloudControl is a cloud-based, Wi-Fi enabled spa control system that lets you monitor and operate your spa from anywhere with a signal. With CloudControl, you can monitor all electronic settings remotely and start the tub, adjust temperature, lighting, pumps, and filtration from your smartphone, web-enabled device, or tablet.

To use CloudControl, you’ll need a Balboa BP Series Spa Control Pack, bwa Wi-Fi module (Part Number: 50350), and a Wi-Fi router or modem. Paired with the CloudControl app, your spa can be ready when you are, whether you’re at home or away.

## Review summary

The Bullfrog CloudControl app is praised for its ease of initial setup and use and for occasional remote/local control when it stays connected. However, the majority of reviews center on persistent connectivity problems, app crashes, and reliability issues. Users also note feature removals (lights, schedules, reminders) and sometimes poor support. The $300 price is repeatedly cited as not worth it given the inconsistent performance. Overall, many users find the app to be unreliable and frustrating, with only a minority reporting stable operation.

### Pros

- Quick and easy WiFi setup and app use when it works.
- Remote control of the spa via the CloudControl app when connected.
- Some users report long periods of stable connectivity after setup.
- Local LAN control is functional for on-site use.
- The app interface is easy to navigate when functioning.

### Cons

- Frequent connectivity losses: the app often won’t stay connected and requires constant re-connecting or reprogramming.
- Crashes and general reliability issues: the app crashes or becomes unresponsive.
- Feature regressions and omissions: unusual temperature controls (dial issues), removal of lights control, and missing away mode/scheduling/chemical reminders.
- Poor support and customer service: tech support is often described as unhelpful or blaming the user’s network.
- High cost with poor value: owners feel the $300 Cloud Control module is not worth it given the unreliable performance.
