Air Products Pipe Pigout is designed to calculate the nitrogen volume and the time needed to purge or to “pig” a pipeline based on the operating parameters you enter—easily and quickly from your iPhone or iPad. This tool can benefit pipeline contractors, owners and operators.

To use, select your pipeline’s fluid type—choose from common products like diesel fuel and water or enter your specific product and its properties. Then, enter your project’s information, such as pipeline distance, basic elevations, desired pig speed and the back pressure. 

Based on the information you enter, this unique app can calculate the volume, flow rate and pressure suitable to push your pig and complete the purge or displacement. The easy-to-read output provides useful information as you plan your project. You can name the calculation and save the information on your mobile device.
