Its AI copilot can answer questions about weather, airports, airspace, NOTAMs, and routes.

Premium adds METAR/TAF weather tools, winds aloft, terrain and airspace profiles, GPX import and export, worldwide airspace data, offline charts, annotations, cloud sync, and advanced navigation features. Core features remain free after the 7-day Premium trial, with monthly, yearly, and lifetime purchase options available.

## Review summary

Pilots Atlas shows potential as an electronic captain's atlas, offering quick in-flight references and some tools, but reviews highlight reliability issues, poor offline map access, high costs, weak support, and missing navigation features like airways and routing. Until stability and data completeness improve, value remains limited for pilots.

### Pros

- Replaces bulky paper atlas with quick in-cockpit reference; includes captain's corners and is positioned as a key EFB tool.
- Version 2.0 adds new features and demonstrates responsiveness to pilot feedback, with potential for further improvement.
- Offers useful tools such as shortcut math features, calculators, standard elevations, and some landmark data.

### Cons

- Frequent crashes/freezes after updates, making the app unstable during flights.
- Offline map usability is poor: maps fail to download; offline zoom/detail is insufficient; SD/HD maps often won’t install.
- Very high cost for limited content and ongoing purchases; perceived poor value for money.
- Poor customer support with unresponsive emails and lack of refunds.
- Missing core navigation data and capabilities (no airways or great-circle routing; limited airports; cumbersome route entry).
