## Review summary

Most reviews identify DrChrono OnPatient Portal as a tool intended for patient–doctor messaging and appointment verification, but it is plagued by (1) messaging problems (inbox loading, unread counts not clearing, cross‑platform syncing), (2) login/password bugs, (3) lack of effective support, and (4) a cumbersome UI with scheduling and data‑sync issues across app and web.

### Pros

- Centralized patient–doctor messaging through the portal.
- App is designed for patient communications with physicians.
- Allows appointment verification/reminders via the portal.
- Mobile access consolidates messaging and appointment details in one place.
- Useful for basic doctor–patient communications as intended by the app.

### Cons

- Inbox shows blank or messages do not display despite a badge.
- Unread message counts persist or can't be cleared even after reading.
- Login/authentication bugs and password issues (cannot log in, password resets failing, typing not visible).
- Poor or non-existent customer support; fixes often require office/vendor intervention.
- Clunky UX with painful scheduling, data syncing issues, and inconsistent data between app and web portals.
