## Description

Land Nav Assistant accepts MGRS (8- or 10-digit) and Latitude/Longitude inputs and visually guides you to each point. It supports decimal and DMS formats, with angles in degrees or mils, distances in meters or feet, and speeds in kph or mph. Navigate via a simple arrow interface or map, while your distance, bearing, and progress update in real time.

Plan courses, order points, and use the course optimization tool to calculate the shortest path. Overlay 1000m or 100m MGRS grids, export locations to a spreadsheet, and import large location sets. This tool complements training and should be used with proper field navigation practice.

## Review summary

Land Nav Assistant is praised for accurate navigation, offline usability, and cost efficiency, with an easy-to-use interface and useful satellite imagery. It performs well on training courses and military contexts, offering reliable coordinates, a directional arrow, and distance display. The main recurring drawbacks are the absence of Apple Watch support and features to save routes or edit pins, plus limited map overlay management (downloading/saving maps). A few users mention crashes or OS compatibility issues, but these are less common. Overall, core navigation features are solid; feature requests dominate the feedback for a potential update.

### Pros

- Accurate navigation with point mapping, a directional arrow, and distance readout.
- Satellite imagery overlays enhance planning and training.
- Works offline after maps are downloaded, with little to no network needed.
- Great value for money; cheaper than similar apps and highly recommended.
- Easy to use with a straightforward interface for plotting waypoints quickly.

### Cons

- No Apple Watch integration; users want a watch app and would pay for it.
- Inability to save routes or edit points/pins/colors; lack of route saving and pin customization.
- Limited map overlays offline support; cannot download or save maps easily and loading could be improved.
