## Description

Radar Pro is an interactive weather radar app that pulls live NEXRAD Level 3 data directly from the National Weather Service. It displays true-format, un-smoothed radar imagery across the US, including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Animated mode lets you view storm motion over recent minutes, and you can quickly locate your position relative to precipitation.

Key features include customizable data update rates, a favorites list, radar site status, and full US coverage. The map supports auto radar selection, pinch-to-zoom, pan, and direct radar selection, with overlays for states, counties, highways, cities, and major boundaries across the US/Canada/Mexico. One-touch location marking helps you stay aware of your position during severe weather. Now FREE during re-launch.

## Review summary

Radar Pro shows promise as a feature-rich radar tool and is used by some as a daily go-to for storm viewing, with fast data updates and on-map warnings. However, widespread complaints about poor support and updates, data accuracy and timing issues, stability and UI problems, and questions about value for money significantly color its overall usefulness. Recurring themes suggest it may meet the needs of some users while failing others due to reliability and usability concerns.

### Pros

- Very fast radar data updates (raw data updated every ~2 minutes) for timely awareness
- Storm warnings highlighted on the map for quick hazard identification
- Rich set of radar tools and features for detailed viewing
- Reliable enough for daily use and considered a go-to radar app by some users
- Useful for travel planning and storm spotting with broad geographic coverage

### Cons

- Lack of updates and poor support; website down or non-existent
- Data accuracy and timeliness issues (late precipitation, wrong times, looping past frames)
- Stability/UI problems such as crashes, app won't open, location not working, scrolling glitches
- Value for money concerns; perceived overpriced for limited functionality
- UI limitations like viewing only one area at a time and lack of map labels
