## Description

GradeBook Pro is a powerful classroom management tool designed for professional educators. Record scores, attendance, and student performance with weighted and standard grade scales, unlimited letter ranges, category-based grading, extra credit, penalties, and per-score notes. It also provides per-class reports and supports copying scales and categories between classes.

GradeBook Pro tracks behavior and attendance with customizable marks, supports photo viewing, daily attendance emails, CSV exports, cloud backups via iCloud Drive, Dropbox, and Box, and secure access with a launch passcode. Import rosters, assign photos to students, and export data to CSV with no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or ads.

## Review summary

Users praise GradeBook Pro for its ease of use and comprehensive feature set (grading, attendance, reporting). However, recurring issues include broken attendance date editing, a grayscale UI that reduces readability, and discontinued or unreliable cloud backups (Dropbox). A common concern is the lack of ongoing development and accessible support, with several long-time users fearing future compatibility. While many still view it as a capable, indispensable tool, these maintenance gaps threaten its viability for teachers relying on it daily.

### Pros

- Very user-friendly interface with a broad feature set (grading, attendance, notes, reports).
- Reliable, long-standing tool many teachers described as indispensable.
- Strong reporting features that provide useful insights into grades and attendance.
- Can back up/export data to cloud services (Dropbox and iCloud) when the cloud integration works.

### Cons

- Attendance date entry/editing is broken after updates (unable to modify attendance dates).
- UI colors changed to grayscale, reducing visibility and making it hard to read attendance and other data.
- Dropbox backup/no longer works and cloud backup is unreliable or unsupported.
- Lack of ongoing development and support; app appears unmaintained with limited or hard-to-reach help resources.
