## Description

Planet Simulation is a Chrome extension that lets you explore gravity by creating a solar system. Recreate the Sun and planets, or experiment with different star and planet placements to observe orbital dynamics. Inspired by the DAN-BALL web game, this lightweight sandbox is great for spare time and learning about space.

Features include adding stars, spawning planets, adjusting masses and distances, visualizing orbits, and saving configurations for later play. This game is the 2nd iOS game for the Web Game Site DAN-BALL.

## Rankings

- #119,915 — Overall
- #25 — planet

## Review summary

Reviews praise the gravity-based physics and the fun, accessible simulation, and note ongoing updates as a positive. However, recurring issues include inconsistent gravity/orbits, crashes, and a lack of depth with several feature requests (more planets, placement of objects, new views). Overall, it’s a promising planet simulator in development, with significant room for improvement.

### Pros

- Strong gravity/planetary-physics simulation that many reviews praise
- Fun and engaging to experiment with space scenarios
- Active development and updates from the developers
- Accessible basic planet simulator with clear potential for physics enthusiasts

### Cons

- Gravity realism is inconsistent or not accurate, with orbit behavior described as unstable
- Crashes and stability issues; the app sometimes crashes or planets head into the sun due to bugs
- Limited content/depth; users want more features (e.g., colonization, more planets, different views)
