## Description

Stream Charlottesville's non-commercial station, WNRN, from anywhere in the world to your iPhone or iPod.

## Rankings

- #231,450 — Overall

## Review summary

Users praise WNRN for its clean, simple design, reliable background playback, and strong programming with clear track info. However, a clear recurring issue is reliability: the stream frequently crashes, stalls, or fails to start, and instability is noted particularly on iPhone 5 devices. Overall, the app is well-liked when it stays running, but playback interruptions significantly impact the user experience. Improvements to streaming stability would likely raise overall satisfaction without changing the positive design and content.

### Pros

- Clean, simple design and easy navigation
- Background playback keeps streaming when the app is in the background
- Shows current track title and artist with a pleasant look
- Strong on-air programming and production quality
- Generally reliable for listening on multiple devices when issues don’t occur

### Cons

- Frequent crashes and streaming stops; reliability is inconsistent across reviews
- Stream sometimes won't start or stops mid-playback (spinning/loading)
- Device-specific instability noted on iPhone 5 / iOS environments
