Free42 is a faithful open-source re-implementation of the HP-42S calculator and the HP-82240 printer. It runs in Chrome as a simulator without needing an HP ROM image, and the project is released under GPLv2.

All third-party code used in Free42 is public domain or licensed under terms compatible with GPLv2, or used with the authors' permission. The executables and source code are freely available, making the project a portable, community-driven calculator emulator.
