## Description

Amazing Slow Downer Lite is a music learning tool for musicians, transcribers, and dancers. Slow audio up to 200% without changing pitch, loop sections, and adjust tuning or key. The Lite version is restricted to the first quarter of an audio file, and there is new support for streaming Apple Music.

Note: Some features, such as Pitch change and Equalizer, are not available when playing Apple Music. Be aware that Spotify changes mean third‑party apps can’t access Spotify content for slowing/pitch changes starting September 2022. This Chrome extension includes Set-button loops during playback to aid practice.

## Rankings

- #158,841 — Overall
- #67 — pitch shift

## Review summary

Overall, users praise the core feature—slowing down and transposing audio with good quality and a simple, stable interface, plus convenient loop saving and some integration with iTunes. However, the Lite version’s 30-second cap and the lack of Spotify/Apple Music support dominate the negatives. Pricing and licensing confusion is frequent—upgrading from Lite to the full app is seen as expensive or unclear. UI complaints focus on slider controls for speed/pitch and difficulty dialing in exact values. Reliability and ongoing compatibility with streaming services are also recurring concerns.

### Pros

- High-quality slowing down and pitch shifting with minimal artifacts.
- Easy to load files, stable on iPhone/iPad, and large, usable controls.
- Useful loop feature (save and recall loops) for practice.
- Upfront, non-subscription pricing appeals to some users.
- Integration with iTunes library to help organize music.

### Cons

- Lite version only plays about 30 seconds of a track—very limiting.
- No longer works with Spotify or Apple Music; streaming integration is effectively broken.
- Upgrading from Lite to full is confusing and perceived as expensive.
- Slider-based speed/pitch controls are hard to dial precisely; users want numeric inputs.
- Ongoing compatibility/reliability concerns and updates for streaming services; several reports of service changes breaking functionality.
