Topo Maps for Chrome lets you browse USGS and NRCan topo maps within your browser. Access over 70,000 topographic maps for Canada and the United States (Canada at 1:50,000; US at 1:24,000), with map downloads available for free and offline viewing once installed. You can search by name for towns, peaks, lakes, parks, and other features, making it easy to locate the maps you need. 

Key features include marking and exporting waypoints (GPX, KML, and CSV), viewing coordinates in NAD27 and WGS84 (and formats like DMS, UTM, and MGRS), measuring distances and bearings, and aligning the map with your current location and compass. Terrain shading options enhance readability, and the tool supports offline use after downloads, ideal for backcountry planning and exploration.
