## Description

Tell stories to children
In this free beta version, you can try a brand new format — a new audio storytelling app where you record stories for children yourself. Storybirds creates closeness across time and place through storytelling.

In the Storybirds app, you choose whether to share a familiar story, a memory — or create a new story from your imagination. You tell it to a child you know. You tell it where and when it suits you, and when the child receives your story, they can listen anywhere, anytime — as many times as they want.

Storybirds helps you:

- Be present through the closeness of your voice, when you can’t physically be there
- Get gently guided through recording and sending stories, and setting up profiles for yourself and a child
- Feel like you’re truly reading aloud to that specific child — by seeing a picture of the child (if added) while you tell the story
- Give the child the feeling that you’re telling the story — by letting them hear your voice and see a picture of you while they listen
- Avoid screen dependence — there’s no need to keep the screen active while the child listens. The experience is just as good if the child sets the phone aside and simply listens, like a personal audiobook
- Record multiple chapters and keep them organized
- Let the child send a thank you, completing the feeling of giving and receiving
- Get notifications (if you remember to turn them on) when the child asks for a new story while listening, or sends a thank you
- Make sure no one — except those you or the child approve — can tell stories to the child. Storybirds is a safe and child-considerate app

When you use the Storybirds app, our great ambition is for you to feel a sense of closeness. For the child to feel that you’re near. We sense each other through our senses — and that’s why the app focuses on fostering closeness in every interaction.

We’ve created an experience where your voice, a picture of the one you love, and a picture from a situation or memory you’re telling about, together create a feeling of presence.

The app is designed not to distract, but to strengthen the connection between you — with calm, closeness, and focus at the center.
