## Description

Project Clean Earth is a retro pixel roguelite hack-and-slash adventure. Play as Bernard, the last weapon humanity has, and battle a radiation-wracked Earth against mutant foes. The game blends strategic weapon and drone combos with randomized events and new stages, making every run feel fresh.

As you grow stronger, unlock artifacts, study enemy patterns, and push toward completing the Earth Clean Project. Each run is unique thanks to Loglight Ryu's random artifacts and events.

## Review summary

Project Clean Earth is praised for its distinctive art, deep strategic progression, and challenging yet rewarding combat with fair monetization. However, players repeatedly report problematic purchases and refunds, pay-to-progress mechanics that gate advancement, and balance issues with fast enemies and limited mobility. The overall sentiment is positive about art, depth, and core gameplay, but persistence of monetization and support concerns as well as difficulty spikes temper the experience.

### Pros

- Distinct art style and visuals that stand out from other top-down shooters
- Deep progression system with meaningful chipsets, rarity upgrades, and strategic choices
- Challenging yet rewarding gameplay that is engaging and addictive
- Fair monetization with no forced ads and a reputation for not being a blatant money grab

### Cons

- Frequent payment and purchase fulfillment issues: charged purchases often not delivered and limited developer support contact
- Progression gating and pay-to-progress mechanics that encourage spending to advance
- Balance/difficulty issues: enemies can be too fast and movement feels constrained, making the game frustrating for some players
