## Description

Microscopya is a science-themed adventure and puzzle game taking players on a journey through the inside of the cell. Explore the fantastical world, solve puzzles based on real molecular mechanisms, customize your character, and experience the beauty and complexity of what makes life possible.

This is the first game from Beata Science Art, featuring music by the talented Jamie van Dyck of Earthside and programming by Atelier Monarch Studios. Follow @microscopyagame on social media or visit www.microscopya.com to learn more.

Special thanks to the American Association for the Advancement of Science and Lyda Hill Philanthropies for making this project possible, and the American Society for Cell Biology for additional funding.

## Rankings

- #211,100 — Overall

## Review summary

Reviewers consistently praise Microscopya for its fun, vibrant visuals and educational approach to cell biology, as well as its engaging puzzles. The main drawbacks are its short runtime and limited organelle coverage, with many wishing for more chapters and broader cellular content in future updates.

### Pros

- Fun and engaging gameplay that many reviewers enjoyed.
- Beautiful, colorful graphics and aesthetically pleasing visuals.
- Educational and informative, helping players learn biology.
- Puzzles and interactive mechanics (e.g., microtubule dynamics) that make learning feel engaging.

### Cons

- Very short length; finishes quickly and leaves players wanting more content or additional chapters.
- Limited coverage of organelles; focuses on a small set (mostly mitochondria) with calls for broader cell-part and function exploration.
