## Description

KDE Connect Chrome extension enables seamless cross-device collaboration: share text with the clipboard, files and URLs across devices, and use your phone as a touchpad and keyboard. It also supports a remote presentation feature that lets you move a laser pointer on your computer by moving your phone, plus remote commands to run actions on your PC. All features are secured with end-to-end encryption to protect your data.

Note that you must install KDE Connect on your other devices and keep versions up to date for the latest features. This extension is part of KDE Connect's open source project, with source code available on the KDE Connect site.

## Review summary

KDE Connect for iOS is valued for cross-platform file transfer and clipboard sharing with PC/Linux and is easy to set up, making it a useful daily driver when it works. However, users repeatedly report crashes on startup, unreliable pairing/connection, and devices not being discovered after iOS updates. Transfers can stall or fail (especially with many files) and some core features are hampered by iOS limitations (no background tasks, share-sheet integration). UI bugs and the sense that the app remains unfinished also recur. Reliability is the main issue, with strong cross-platform potential when it runs.

### Pros

- Cross-platform file transfer and clipboard sharing between iOS and PC/Linux
- Easy to set up and connect, with features that simplify transfers
- Works with Linux environments (e.g., Zorin OS) and bridges with KDE Connect
- Often used as a daily driver when it functions reliably

### Cons

- Crashes on startup or fails to load (app opens and closes / shows a blank frame)
- Frequent pairing/connection problems and difficulty discovering devices after iOS changes
- iOS limitations reduce functionality (no background activity; lack of share sheet integration; walled-garden issues)
- File transfers can stall or fail when handling many files / multi-file selection broken
- UI issues on iOS (buttons overlapped or obscured, search/list controls not usable)
